GateKeeper is the first in a new generation of Farmade software, written using the most up to date development tools and based on fully scaleable architecture. Gatekeeper replaces MultiCrop as Farmade’s flagship crop management program. GateKeeper is currently available in the UK and Ireland. Comprehensive Support
Gatekeeper is backed up by a dedicated support team who are there to answer any questions and help with technical or functional queries. The helpline is only a telephone call away. If necessary, a Farmade support person can take control of the customer PC to help resolve a problem or answer a question (only if the customer permits this). Farmade trainers are available to provide on-site training at the customer’s premises using real data. They focus on those issues which are most important to the customer and their specific circumstances. In addition Farmade run group training sessions on a regional basis and also work closely with local training groups. The Farmade web site has a support area where users can access FAQ’s (frequently asked questions) for help outside normal office hours.
A Version To Suit Your Business
Farming businesses vary in size, structure, complexity and mix of cropping. GateKeeper is designed to be flexible and can be adapted to any cropping situation and business setup. Whilst GateKeeper is fully scaleable right up to multi-site, multi-business organisations including multi-user access over networks, it is equally suited to the smaller business and there is even a "Compact" range limited by total cropped area whilst retaining full functionality.
Gatekeeper employs the latest Microsoft™ development environment called the “.Net Framework” This is powerful, flexible and modern. The data is managed using the Microsoft™ SQL Server database which provides enormous data capacity and scalability. In short GateKeeper is, by any measure a very capable package.

Farms have changed – Only fifteen years ago the typical farm, regardless of cropping enterprise, was very different in structure and management style than it is now. Changing economics have forced the scale of all enterprises upward. There are fewer operators, managers and administrators running larger more complex businesses with fewer and larger machines. Each person is under pressure to deliver more in less time. GateKeeper has been designed with these challenges in mind. It will cope with contract farms and fields rented on an annual basis. Single or multiple businesses can be managed on a single PC or on several networked PC’s on one or many sites.
